Welcome to BillSync ("we", "our", or "us"), an offline-first inventory management, billing, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application developed by Unique Uniform and School Accessories.

We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting the sensitive business, customer, and device data entrusted to our application. This Privacy Policy outlines transparently how data is collected, stored, processed, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application (Package ID: com.billsync.appbill).

Key Privacy Principle BillSync is architected as an offline-first business productivity tool. Your business records remain stored locally on your device or in your privately linked Google Sheets spreadsheet. We do not sell, rent, monetise, or distribute your business or personal data.

2. Data We Process and Purpose of Use

To deliver point-of-sale billing, GST invoice generation, and inventory ledger tracking, the application processes the following types of information:

Customer & Supplier Details Name, phone number, physical address, email, GSTIN, opening balance, credit limits. Used exclusively to print tax invoices, generate customer statements, and compute balances. Stored on-device or your private cloud spreadsheet.
Transactional & Financial Records Invoices, quotations, sales orders, purchase bills, credit notes, receipts, expenses, payment modes. Used for tax calculation (CGST, SGST, IGST), sales reporting, and ledger balancing.
Inventory & Product Data Product names, SKUs, barcodes, HSN codes, cost/selling prices, stock adjustments. Used for real-time stock deductions, low-stock warnings, and barcode lookup.
Company & Banking Profile Business name, trade name, logo, signature seal, bank account number, IFSC code, UPI ID. Printed on invoice headers and embedded in Dynamic UPI payment QR codes for customer checkout.

3. Device Permissions & Hardware Usage

BillSync requests only the minimal device permissions required for essential app features:

  • Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used exclusively for scanning product barcodes and QR codes during billing and stock adjustments. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device in real time; no images, videos, or camera data are ever saved, stored, or transmitted to any server.
  • Internet & Network State (android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required solely to synchronize your business ledger with your authorized Google Apps Script backend and Google Sheets database when online.
  • File Storage & Printing: Used exclusively when you choose to export, share, or print PDF invoices, delivery challans, or 80mm thermal receipts locally.

4. Cloud Synchronization & Third-Party Services

BillSync does not operate a proprietary multi-tenant cloud database that aggregates your customers' data. Instead:

  • Google Apps Script & Google Sheets: The app connects directly to a Google Apps Script web application deployed under your or our organization's Google account to persist data in Google Sheets. All transmissions use Transport Layer Security (HTTPS) with 256-bit SSL encryption.
  • No Third-Party Ad Networks: The application contains zero third-party advertising SDKs (no Google AdMob, Unity, etc.).
  • No Third-Party Tracking: We do not embed third-party analytics trackers, behavioral trackers, or device fingerprinting SDKs.

5. Data Retention, Control, and Deletion

You have complete ownership and control over all data entered into BillSync:

  • Access & Export: You can export complete transactions, invoices, and ledgers to standard PDF documents or view them directly in your linked Google Sheet at any time.
  • Modification: You can edit customer information, products, and prices anytime directly from the app interface.
  • Local Data Deletion: You can clear all cached data by going to Settings > System & Backend > Clear Local Cache, or by clearing app storage in Android Settings. Uninstalling the app permanently purges all local records from your device.
  • Cloud Data Deletion: If you wish to permanently delete records from your cloud database, you can delete the respective rows or sheets in your connected Google Spreadsheet or contact us for assistance.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security safeguards to protect your business data:

  • All network communications between the app and cloud endpoints are strictly conducted over encrypted HTTPS/SSL.
  • Sensitive operations (such as resetting company settings) require explicit user confirmation.
  • The app's offline-first architecture ensures that your critical business data is available and protected locally even without an active internet connection.

7. Children's Privacy

BillSync is a professional billing and inventory management tool intended strictly for businesses, merchants, and retail operators. It is not directed at or designed for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
